The EMSExtendedLearningCenter "travelled" to Manassas for an On Site WebCTRL Operator and Troubleshooting class. Actually, only the instructor did any travelling as the students in Virginia accessed the EMS training database in Crofton through the internet and viewed the equipment they were controlling via EMS webcam.Mike Connor, EMS VP for Sales, said "This concept marries the incredible power of the Internet and the unique power of WebCTRL Internet access to create a potent learning tool."

Automated Logic celebrates its 30th anniversary this year as EMS Technologies celebrates its 20th year partnered with ALC. The book, The Evolution of Logic, chronicles ALC's first 30 years, through all the good and the bad.
"Automated Logic Corporation (ALC) is a success measured by any standard. Many would say it's a raging success. As such, it is very tempting to chronicle the 30 year history of this company as that of a fairy tale or a lesson in perseverance; a testimony to never giving up the dream. That is not the story of Automated Logic. The early years of Automated Logic were difficult. There were struggles…But these less than flattering attributes of the ALC legacy are balanced by the equally important truth that throughout the grimmest of times there was a spirit of camaraderie, humor, and a commitment to doing the right thing."
After three years of existence in 1980, ALC had only seven employees and no local Dealerships. Thirty years later, ALC has over 400 employees and over 150 Dealers located in key cities throughout the U.S. and abroad. EMS is proud to have "grown-up" with ALC and looks forward to the next thirty years!

EMS is nearing the completion of the controls installation of Phase 1, the North Building, of the Census Bureau project on schedule. EMS was awarded this large design/build project one year ago and we have "stepped up to the plate" to meet the challenges of the magnitude of the project's scope and aggressive schedule. This $292 million project will be the new Census Bureau's headquarters at Suitland Federal Center in Maryland.
The two-phased, 1.5-million-square-foot Headquarters will house 6,000 employees and will contain offices, a conference area, cafeteria, credit union, fitness center, library and support space. There are also two 500,000-square-foot parking garages for more than 3,000 vehicles, the first one having been open since December 1, 2004. The unique "under floor air delivery system" creates new challenges for our design, installation, and gramming team and grants us an opportunity to fully utilize the power of our resources and product offerings.
This is an important project for the client (GSA), the user agency (Census Bureau) and EMS. The first phase, cycle will be completed in May 2006. The second phase is scheduled to be completed by October 30, 2006.
The successful and timely completion of this project clearly demonstrates our corporate and technical ability to deliver on any project of any size.
